The Panhandle Gives is an annual fundraising campaign hosted by the Amarillo Area Foundation (AAF), benefiting nonprofit organizations like ours in the Texas Panhandle’s 26-county region. We have been hard at work preparing for this year’s campaign, and we know that this year’s event will be an enormous success!

If you plan to or would prefer to give by way of a non-cash gift, the AAF asked us to share that the time to begin this process is now. These types of gifts take longer to process, so an early start is recommended. They could include gifts from a Donor Advised Fund, gifts of appreciated stock, or a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from an Individual Retirement Account.

Due to the nature of these types of transactions, it helps their staff to have advanced notice of these types of gifts, so they can process them efficiently once they are received. The foundation will provide you a form to share with your financial advisor, DAF sponsor, or IRA custodian, to help communicate your intentions. Please note, donations given through The Panhandle Gives may only be directed to participating organizations like us. The full list of participants can be found online.
