Our Purpose

The InterFaith Hunger Project (IFHP) of Catholic Charities of the Texas Panhandle (CCTXP) provides a free monthly supply of healthy, nutritious food for those living on lower or reduced income — both those age 50 and over or those with disabilities of any age. This program is a life-saver for individuals with low income in the Texas Panhandle. The IFHP partners with the High Plains Food Bank and other local vendors to provide a diverse variety of food to stock the shelves of our client-choice grocery store, one of the largest in the region.

The IFHP empowers participants to select foods that support healthy and dietary needs related to aging or living on disability.

The InterFaith Hunger Project relies on many volunteers to help with daily tasks in the store and make food deliveries to home-bound participants. If you would like to volunteer for this program, call us at 806-350-4640, or use the links below to complete the three (3) volunteer forms online. Because this is a new process for us, if you are nocontacted in three business days, please call the number above to check on you application status.

Donate to the IFHP of CCTXP

IFHP always needs and appreciates donations of groceries (both perishable and non-perishable), as well as financial contributions which we use to purchase groceries from the High Plains Food Bank at a reduced cost, as well as local grocery stores.

While we appreciate food donations, please be aware we can stretch your donated dollars further, securing more food for the same money you spend to buy the good to donate.
